CANON PERSONALITY: They say that Dahlia has a soothing presence on whomever she's speaking with. She's incredibly soft-spoken, delicate, kind-natured and cries easily. Thanks to this initial behavior, the men around her just seem to fall at her feet with favors. She's patient and alluring, just like any storybook princess. How can anyone fit the princess stereotype so well?

Well...it's not real.

Those who meet the REAL Dahlia Hawthorne see that she is a cold, calculating and hateful person. Her motivation for everything in life comes from her ego, her desire to put everyone below her, to ascend to the top of society, even if she has to step on her family, 'friends' and otherwise to get there. She's painfully egotistical BUT the average person does not see this side to her. She'll be delicate and kind all she wants unless you really, REALLY manage to enrage her. If that happens...I-I feel bad for you.

"ESPALION" BACKGROUND: Born into semi-nobility, Dahlia Hawthorne was actually born with a twin sister, Iris. Her father was an incredibly wealthy jeweler, who bought gems from poor miners and carved them, selling them to the royalty and nobilities at higher prices. Thanks to this, the Hawthorne name is well known and soon became incredibly rich. But...her father had a dilemma. His wife Morgan failed to bear him any sons to pass on the name and profession, so he seperated from her, taking his twin daughters with him and leaving a distressed mother behind. However, Dahlia was already conniving and planning at this age, convinced her father that taking Iris with them would be a 'waste of time', so they ended up leaving her behind, at a convent.

However, Dahlia's father didn't care about daughters or whatnot at all, even when he remarried, leaving Dahlia with a second sister.Even with one attempt at staging a kidnapping and robbery to get revenge on her father, Dahlia somehow managed to stay in the family, teaching herself that her position as a rich heiress could be valuble if she wanted to ascend the social ladder and get some power in this world.

And to start off, Dahlia murdered her new half-sister and pinned the blame on a man who loved her, just to make sure no one else inherited her fortune. And that's where I'm picking her up from.
